Live from the Royal Albert Hall on the First Night of the Proms, Tom McKinney dives into the musical treats of the summer.

With just five and a half hours to go before curtain-up on the world's biggest classical music festival, Tom looks ahead to some of the musical delights in store across the season, including the first movement of Mozart's Symphony No. 40 with the dynamic period-instrument band Ensemble Resonanz, the world-renowned Berlin Philharmonic and conductor Kirill Petrenko bringing Smetana's sweeping tone poem Ma Vlast, and the annual Glyndebourne Opera visit with Bizet's tune-packed crowd-pleaser Carmen.

As the First Night of the Proms excitement heightens, join Tom and special guests - Paraorchestra conductor Charles Hazlewood and The National Youth Orchestra's Associate Conductor Tess Jackson - as they soak up the atmosphere at the Royal Albert Hall and eagerly anticipate the imminent grand commencement of the 2024 麻豆社 Proms.
