Swopping fighter jets for pastures new in Cookstown, rescue donkey in Wigan put on his orthopaedic boots and a farming family teach a new generation in Donaghcloney.
Presenter, Nicola Weir, travels to Cookstown to meet Bronagh O’Kane who used to be a jet engineer in Scotland but swopped it all for the family farm – and she is focusing on breeding, soil and worms! A mixed reaction to a possible ban on the use of E Collars to train dogs – Edward Adamson from the National Sheep Association and Nora Smith from the USPCA discuss the pros and cons. Nicola also meets Freddie the rescue donkey in Wigan who is getting a new lease of life thanks to some orthopaedic boots that have allowed him to get back onto grass. Reporter, Hannah Quinn-Mulligan meets Helen Hughes, a farmer from County Meath, to discuss how the death of her father in a farm accident impacted the family and reporter, Nathan Hylands, meets the farming family in Donaghcloney opening their farm to a new generation of farmers.
