This week, Cerys chats to Zambian artist Sampa The Great ahead of her trip to the UK this summer to perform at WOMAD festival. Having grown up in Zambia, she has lived in Botswana and studied in the United States of America before completing a degree in audio engineering in Sydney. Sampa is now based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2019, she released her debut album The Return, which featured the singles Final Form, Energy and Better Days. The album picked up a multitude of awards in Australia, including Best Hip Hop album at the ARIAs and The Australian Music Prize. More recently, Sampa has collaborated with Ezra Collective, Angelique Kidjo and Chef 187.

Plus food writer and cook Mark Diacono stops by to share some Sunday cooking inspiration from his forthcoming new recipe book Vegetables: Easy and Inventive Vegetarian Suppers.
