Channel migrant deaths on the rise
With millions of pounds spent on tech like drones, and with more police patrolling the French coast, channel crossings are down - but more migrants dying.

It鈥檚 been a year since the UK signed a deal with France to help reduce the number of boats crossing the Channel and break up the smuggling gangs. And whilst the number of crossings is falling, there鈥檚 been a rise in migrants dying as they take ever greater risks to reach the UK. Andrew Harding reports from Calais.
