Your daily classical soundtrack

Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, including Kreisler, Hummel, Scarlatti, Granados, Satie, JS Bach, Sibelius and Cherubini.

This evening's Classical Mixtape opens with sounds from Vienna by Kreisler, moving through music for mandolin by Hummel, a solo piano sonata by Scarlatti to the colourful sounds of Granados. The 12 cellos of the Berlin Philharmonic play one of Satie's Gymnopedies, leading into one of JS Bach's Preludes and Fugues, music for violin and orchestra by Sibelius and the sequence ends with part of Cherubini's Symphony in D.
