A historic trip to Boston, The Repair Shop and a Highland Computer Game

A historic trip to Boston, Ulster Scots Artefacts on The Repair Shop and a computer game in the Highlands.

We’re often quite an unpredictable show – and this week proves it! First – a catch up with our pal and Scottish broadcasting legend Frieda Morrison – she recently received a prestigious award for services to Scots Language. Then another friend – Mark Thompson – to revisit a very special trip he took to the United States to help mark the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. Then – a true first – gaming on Kintra! Rab has the story – and shares some of the music from a new computer game based in the highlands and full of Scottish language and music. And to finish – Dom from The Repair Shop to explain why the show are looking for Ulster-Scots artefacts to fix up ahead of their tenth series. Also – listen out for a bit o’ Burns!
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
