A Joyous Exploration: Natalie Duncan in Session & The Winter Solstice

Cerys welcomes British neo-soul pianist and singer Natalie Duncan to the studio for a festive session, and Almanac writer Lia Leendertz pops in ahead of the winter solstice.

This week, Cerys welcomes British neo-soul pianist, vocalist and songwriter Natalie Duncan to the studio for a special festive performance. Raised in Nottingham, Natalie has been composing from a young age, and after taking part in drum 'n' bass pioneer Goldie's 麻豆社 TV show Goldie's Band By Royal Appointment, she gained a record deal. Now signed to Goldie's own label Fallen Tree 1Hundred, Natalie released her second album in 2020 and has recently been working on new material!

And Almanac writer Lia Leendertz pops in ahead of the winter solstice. Lia is an award-winning garden and food writer who started publishing The Almanac: A Seasonal Guide in 2018, now on her sixth edition, Lia shares some of the traditions, folklore and origins of the winter solstice.
