Julian Joseph presents an interview with LA composer and string player Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, known for his brilliant orchestral reimagining of the music of hip-hop producer J Dilla (in Suite For Ma Dukes) and his work with everyone from Kamasi Washington and Flying Lotus to Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Wayne Shorter and Henry Mancini. Here, Miguel shares some of the inspirations behind his long-awaited debut album, Les Jardins Mystiques Vol鈥.鈥1, including a John Coltrane live track that Miguel describes as 'a love letter'.
