Carrie MacNeil introduces the bands competing at Grade 1 in the World Pipe Band Championships, aka The Worlds. The show features internationally distinguished pipers and drummers from Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Canada and New Zealand.
In total 16 pipe bands competed across the two-day event.
This programme features selected sounds and sights from the climactic second day. Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band won the title this year, led by Pipe Major Ross Harvey and Lead Drummer Kerr McQuillan - the band’s first ever victory at The Worlds. St Laurence O’Toole, ScottishPower and Simon Fraser University are amongst just some of the bands featured.
