Cerys welcomes Mexican band La Sonora Santanera live in session from Maida Vale. La Sonora Santanera is an orchestra playing unique big band style music with 68 years of history. They are widely regarded as one of the most influential Mexican music bands of all time, as founders of the Mexican tropical style, with elements of mambo, cha cha cha, bolero, cumbia and merengue, featuring trumpets.

She also chats to poet Mary Jean Chan about their second book, Bright Fear. Mary Jean Chan is a Hong Kong-Chinese poet, lecturer, editor and critic whose debut poetry collection, Flèche, won the 2019 Costa Book Award in the poetry category. Mary Jean’s second book, Bright Fear, was published on 3rd August 2023 via Faber.
