For the season鈥檚 first Radio 3 lunchtime concert, a leading British exponent of Beethoven, Paul Lewis, joins the Norwegian Vertavo Quartet and bassist Tim Gibbs for an unusual performance of the Fourth Piano Concerto, in an arrangement by the German composer Vinzenz Lachner (1811-93) 鈥� a conservative musician who struck up a friendship with Brahms.
