Muir earned her first global outdoor medals with Olympic silver and world bronze, in 2021 and 2022 respectively, with both titles won by Kipyegon for a second time. The Kenyan has broken three world records over as many distances this summer and is unbeaten in the 1,500m for more than two years.
The last final of the night is the men鈥檚 3,000m steeplechase, while the 400m semi-finals are likely to include Olympic champion Steven Gardiner of the Bahamas, world record holder Wayde van Niekerk and Britain鈥檚 European champion Matt Hudson-Smith.
