Experimental composer and performer Laura Cannell picks an hour of magical collaborations.
Laura's new album Echolocation: Resonate From Here is out soon on her own Brawl Records. It consists entirely of collaborations and remixes - which in turn inspired the theme of this playlist. As Laura says, "The weirdest things happen when we make music with other people. A whole new language appears, and then it becomes another world of its own".
Laura Cannell is originally from Norfolk and is now based in rural East Anglia. She has released five albums since 2014, and performed at venues as varied as Queen Elizabeth Hall and Tate Liverpool and at festivals ranging from the Latitude Festival to Poland's Unsound Festival to Brighton Early Music Festival. She has also written commissions for Hampton Court Palace, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, and the 麻豆社 Philharmonic Orchestra.
