When the Human League split in two in 1980, Martyn Ware and Ian Craig Marsh formed the British Electric Foundation or B.E.F. Their very first release was the cassette-only release Music for Stowaways. Hugely innovative and influential, the album is now getting its first-ever reissue. Soon after its initial release, another B.E.F. production, Heaven 17, achieved both critical and commercial success, but that's another story.
We also have Japanese cult pop, American free jazz, Finnish electronica, and British freakbeat, plus classics from Mike Oldfield and Kevin Ayers and new gems from Legs on Wheels and the Bonk.
