Brahms in Perth and Bartok’s Wooden Prince
Jamie shares performances by the Maxwell Quartet, the Â鶹Éç SSO and The Scottish Ensemble.
Perth is in focus this week as the Perth Festival of the Arts begins this month and Jamie shares music by performers appearing this year. Plus there’s a live concert recording from Perth Concert Hall by The Maxwell Quartet joined by violist Scott Dickinson and cellist Su-a Lee – they play Brahms’ much loved and richly romantic Sextet Op18. Also on the programme the Â鶹Éç SSO and conductor Thomas Dausgaard bring Bartok’s Wooden Prince to life in in a fairy tale ballet.
