Originally known as a comedic actor - with his turn as Baldrick in the Blackadder series perhaps being the best example - over the last few decades Tony Robinson has emerged as one of the most recognisable faces of popular history. Tony presented twenty seasons of Channel 4's archaeology series "Time Team"; made two series of 鈥淭he Worst Jobs In History鈥� and three series of 鈥淲alking Through History鈥�.
Tony's also a noted writer - he wrote the 麻豆社's "Maid Marian and Her Merry Men" and has written a series of award-winning books for children and adults including 鈥淭ony Robinson鈥檚 History of Australia鈥�. His autobiography 鈥淣o Cunning Plan鈥� was published in autumn 2016.
His latest venture sees Tony host a brand new podcast series called 'Cunningcast' in which he "takes the long view on the big stories of the day, whilst delving into other weird and wonderful stories that grab him and make him want to know more about the world around us." Guests in the series include Stephen Fry, Miriam Margolyes and John Lloyd, with topics ranging from the 40th anniversary of Blackadder to top 10 pies to knighthoods.
