Beyond Words is a national charity for visual literacy and emotional wellbeing. Our word-free picture books and resources transform lives, empowering young people and adults to be able to share and understand their feelings and the world around them.
What are Feelings Groups?
Feelings Groups provide peer-group support for children or young people, to talk about their feelings in a safe setting; enabling emotional healing to take place. These groups have a structured approach to wellbeing, guided by the experience of the child.
Meet Elisha
Elisha attended a Feelings Group. She didn鈥檛 trust easily but she listened to children sharing and joined in. 聽聽One day she wrote about her family鈥檚 life story and read it aloud to the group.聽 The Feeling Group became her safe place to share.
