A legal firm representing homeowners affected by the Mica scandal in the Republic says there could be 'hundreds' of homes impacted in Northern Ireland. Thousands of properties - mostly in counties Donegal and Mayo - were built using defective concrete blocks, which absorb too much moisture and start to break down. Coleman Legal LLP now says dozens of homeowners are coming forward North of the border to try and join legal action to secure financial redress.

Danny and Kate Rafferty have confirmed the presence of MICA in their home in Derry. They've been told it could cost up to one hundred thousand pounds to correct.

We spoke to Dave Coleman, managing partner from Coleman Legal, which is taking part in mass legal action against the Government in Dublin.
