Bettany Hughes concludes her travels in Turkey by exploring Urfa, one of the most important pilgrimage cities in the Middle East, believed to be the birthplace of Abraham. Travelling by boat on the Euphrates, Bettany discovers Zeugma, an ancient Roman frontier city submerged in the river. She discovers exquisite glass mosaics recovered by archaeologists and gets special access to鈥疶he House of the Muses,鈥痗omprising extraordinary frescoes, mosaics and secret graffiti.
