Hollywood Calling

More of the finest music of the bagpipe presented by Gary West, including an archive session from 1994 by Los Angeles based multi instrumentalist, Eric Rigler.

More top end bagpipe music presented by Gary West, including pipe band sets from the People’s Ford Boghall and Bathgate and the Alberta Caledonia from Canada, as well as a world-beating performance from Inveraray native, Stuart Liddell, recorded at the Northern Meeting piping contest in the Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, in 2019. Folk-infused jigs and reels are provided by Kyle Warren and James Duncan MacKenzie while we rewind the clock back to 1994 and to a studio session from Eric Rigler from Los Angeles. Best known for his Hollywood film and television soundtrack recordings on films such as Braveheart and Titanic, Eric kept things straight down the middle in that session which included one of the oldest and finest pibrochs from the highland tradition, The End of the Great Bridge.
