Jenny and Lenny have taken on their first rented farm set in the Howgill fells of Cumbria. They are sinking every penny of their life savings into the run-down farm at a time when agriculture is at a crossroads. Brexit means farmers have to adapt to new ways in agriculture, bringing financial uncertainty. With a young family to bring up, can they make it pay?
Jenny and Lenny battle old and unreliable machinery during a heatwave to bring in the hay, and send their prized lambs off to market in the hope of the farm turning a profit. In their own words, 'it鈥檚 a gamble'.
