Comóradh ar Dhomhnach na Fola, Féile Learpholl na nGael, Léirmheas scannán.

Bloody Sunday commemoration, Liverpool Irish Festival, Film review.

Ar an 31 Eanáir, déanfar comóradh 50 bliain ar ócáid léanmhar i stair chathair Dhoire. Is é Tony Ó Dochartaigh an Cathaoirleach ar Iontaobhas Dhomhnach na Fola, agus ar an lá sin i 1972, maraíodh a athair, Paddy Doherty. Téann Niamh Nic Oistigín chun cainte le Tony. Tá Damian McCann linn lena léirmheas féin ar an scannán Belfast agus le réamhbhlaiseadh a thabhairt dúinn ar bhuaicscannáin na bliana – neart fadscannáin Ghaeilge san áireamh. Agus cluinimid ó Shiubhán Macauley faoi dheis chruthaitheach atá á chur ar fáil ag Féile Learpholl na nGael i gcomhpháirt le Gael Linn agus an tUltach.

31 January marks 50 years since a devastating day in the history of Derry. Tony Doherty is the Chair of the Bloody Sunday Trust and on that day in 1972 his father Paddy Doherty was shot dead. This week, Niamh Nic Oistigín meets Tony for Blas. Damian McCann reviews the film Belfast for us and looks forward to some of the movie highlights of the year, including plenty of full-length feature films in Irish. And we hear from Siubhán Macauley how Gael Linn and An tUltach have partnered with Liverpool Irish Festival to create a one-off creative commission to celebrate Irish language and folklore.
