Palisander recorder ensemble
A concert from St John's Smith Square featuring the two winning pieces from the 2021 National Centre for Early Music's Young Composers Award, alongside Dowland, Bach and Locke.
The recorder ensemble Palisander give a concert at St John's Smith Square, featuring the premiere of the two winning pieces inspired by dance by Jacob Fitzgerald and Delyth Naya, as a part of the National Centre for Early Music and 麻豆社 Radio 3 Young Composers Award 2021. Alongside these, you'll hear exotic traditional dances of the Mediterranean, a historic Queen of England鈥檚 pre-breakfast dance work out, and even dances performed as a historical antidote to a spider鈥檚 poison!
