News of what’s happening around the country for Leid Week – Ulster-Scots language week
For the start of Leid Week, the Kintra team and guests chat about the use of the language and some of the events and activities planned over the course of the week.
It’s Leid Week again – the annual celebration of the Ulster-Scots Language – with it’s usual flurry of events. Matthew Warrick (Ulster-Scots Community Network), Dr Frank Ferguson (Ulster University), Pol O’Frighal (Derry & Strabane District Council) and Gillian McMaster (Ulster-Scots Agency) join the team with news of what to expect over the course of the week.
Helen Mark, Rab Lennox and Willie Hill from the Kintra team complete the very full house for this week’s programme.
As always, listeners are welcome to send their comments, feedback, details of an Ulster-Scots event they’d like to promote, or a good yarn to share – email the team at kintra@bbc.co.uk.
