This week Nicola is in conversation with writer, performer and director Shôn Dale-Jones. They explore imagination, storytelling and the creation of Shôn's new show 'Possible'.
Shôn Dale-Jones is a writer, director, performer and storyteller. At the beginning of 2020 he was working on a new show - about love - commissioned by National Theatre Wales. But then the world changed and the show was brought to an abrupt halt by the pandemic.
But Shôn gradually realised that he had a new story to tell - about the emotional journey we’ve all gone through as we’ve struggled to navigate Covid and lockdown. The show - called 'Possible' – was streamed online earlier this year and he’s now about to take it on tour to theatres across Wales as a live show.
In today’s Radio Wales Arts Show Nicola is in conversation with Shôn Dale-Jones, talking about the creation of 'Possible' and the challenges along the way. They explore imagination and his craft as a storyteller. And we take Shôn back to the town of Llangefni on Anglesey where he grew up, to consider the strong strand of autobiography in his work.
