The Chief Executive for the Commissioner for Older People in Northern Ireland, Evelyn Hoy, discusses the Spend Local high street voucher scheme, and how to ensure older people who are eligible do not miss out.
Consumer guru Jimmy Hughes is live to tackle your consumer queries: one listener who was over a thousand pounds out of pocket for a quarantine hotel he didn't use, and another whose lawn was ruined by a contractor who installed a fibre optic cable across the wrong garden.
Parking penalties with the Consumer Council: Noleen Charnley, head of Insight and Investigation, looks at one listener's parking ticket issue and explains how the Consumer Council can help to appeal these charges.
Plus, the UC:Us project have launched their new guide to help people through the Universal Credit application process. The project worked with local people, some who were the very first to apply for Universal Credit in Northern Ireland, and have fed their experiences and learning to the new online guide. Linda McAuley speaks to two project members and Universal Credit applicants, about their experiences and what they wished they had known when they applied..
