Clapham & Shrewsbury

The Garden Rescue team create two gardens for small children: a tree-filled haven for young twins in London and a fun-packed adventure play space in Shrewsbury.

This time, Charlie Dimmock and the Rich brothers, Harry and David, are creating two gardens for young children. In Clapham, in south London, the team are determined to help out a couple who have been through some difficult times, including a child lost during pregnancy. Arvinder and Yolanda, and their adorable young twins, desperately need their small and neglected back garden turned from a rundown and very weedy space into somewhere that works for them as a peaceful and tree-filled haven that will help them come to terms with recent family tragedies, whilst also providing valuable, much-needed play space for the children. They have a budget of 拢5,000, and the designers want to make the most of it to create something truly memorable, right down to an interactive music wall and a mini garden planted up with baby wellies for the twins!

Almost 200 miles north, in Shrewsbury, Roxy and Steve live with their young children Ted and Betsy, but their blank and boring garden has nothing exciting for children. In fact, it鈥檚 so bad that when Ted and Betsy鈥檚 nine-year-old cousin came round to play, she complained there was nothing to do in the garden! With a 拢3,000 budget, it鈥檚 time for fireman Steve to call in the garden emergency services. Can Charlie, Harry and David come up with a plan to turn this suburban patch of grass into a playtime paradise for children?
