This week with Canadian singer Alannah Myles.

She’s had hits around the world, but the only song that reached the Top 40 in the UK was ‘Black Velvet’.

It got to number 2 in 1990.

She tells OJ that she never expected that song to do as well as it did, and become the big hit around the world, how she never felt totally comfortable with being famous and why Top Of The Pops was her most difficult TV performance of her career!

Alannah Myles is a Canadian Singer / Songwriter.

Best known in the UK for ‘Black Velvet’, which got to number 2 in March 1990.

Myles won the 1991 Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for the song.
