Charley Pride, who died in December 2020 at the age of 86, was a regular visitor to the UK and Ireland, in a career which spanned more than 50 years. With 29 Country numbers ones including his signature song ‘ Kiss an Angel Good morning Charley Pride was the first African American artist to have success in Country music, and remained a huge inspiration to contemporary singers, picking up a lifetime achievement award at the 2020 CMA awards, a performance which turned out to be his last. His 1995 Symphony Hall set includes Crystal Chandeliers, Me and Bobby McGee, Streets of Baltimore, Do What You Do Do Well and Louisiana Man.
