Máire Bhreathnach
Covid-19: Ceathrar ag clutharú. We hear from four people who have been shielding for medical reasons.
Thart faoin am seo anuraidh, d’athraigh an saol go mór dúinn ar fad. Iarradh orainn uilig fanacht sa bhaile a oiread agus a b’fhéidir linn, ach cuireadh comhairle ar ghrúpaà faoi leith gan dul thar leac an dorais. Tá neart cainte fúthu siúd os cionn 70 bliain d’aois atá go mór i mbaol ón vÃoras, ach nà chluintear chomh minic sin faoi dhaoine in aoisghrúpaà nÃos óige a bhfuil orthu fanacht sa bhaile ar chúiseanna éagsúla sláinte. LabhraÃonn Máire Bhreathnach le ceathrar atá ag clutharú: MáirÃn Nà Ghadhra i nGaillimh, Dave Duggan i nDoire, Éadaoin i bPort Láirge, agus as TÃr Eoghain, Seán Antón Ó Conalláin.
Around this time last year, a seismic change occurred in our lives. Everyone was asked to stay at home as much as possible, but for certain groups, the advice was not to leave home at all. There has been a lot of talk about the over 70s who are at high risk from the virus, but we have perhaps heard less about people in younger age groups who also have to stay home for various medical reasons. In this special programme, Máire Bhreathnach speaks to four who are shielding: MáirÃn Nà Ghadhra in Galway, Dave Duggan in Derry, Éadaoin in Waterford, and from Tyrone, Seán Antón Ó Conalláin.
