In this episode, we follow paramedics in Dunfermline, Edinburgh, Paisley and Forth Valley as they respond to emergency calls.
Special operations paramedics Dan and Leigh join fire crews and a trauma team arriving by helicopter at a high-speed car crash in Forth Valley, where a patient needs to be cut from their car to receive treatment.
At Glasgow Airport, technicians Pete and Matt are escorted across the airfield to reach a patient in the operations tower with chest pains and a history of heart attacks, while in Dunfermline, Billy and Jason help a patient who is struggling to breathe and also showing alarming symptoms that could indicate a life-threatening infection. They are then called to a patient who has recently had a fall and injured her leg and who needs to be moved out of an old farmhouse with narrow stairs without causing her any more pain.
Lee and Nadine visit an army veteran in the Borders who is in pain and experiencing a rapid heart rate. And in Edinburgh, rapid response paramedic John visits a Hugh Jackman super-fan who needs help with her breathing.
