Jumoké Fashola presents an interview with Armenian piano star Tigran Hamasyan who shares some of the music that inspires him. Hamasyan reflects on his classical training and his love for Shostakovich, the genius of Thelonious Monk and the simple beauty of folk songs and lullabies, all key components of his sound.
Also in the programme, live music from pianist Maria Chiara Argirò and guitarist Jamie Leeming who perform a home session drawn from their atmospheric new album, Flow.
