Ep 348 - With conductor Jules Buckley & Laura Marling
Conductor Jules Buckley chats to Shaun about his new 麻豆社 Sounds podcast & poet Luke Wright discusses the impact of the cancelled Edinburgh Fringe for performers.
Shaun gives another caller the chance to tell their Claim to Fame on air in Small Claims Court and welcomes Matt Everitt who has the latest Music News which includes Laura Marling talking about the 麻豆社 Proms. Plus, there is a new Liked and Shared track from JW Francis and poet Luke Wright joins to talks us through what he 'should' have been performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this month and how the cancellation of the largest arts festival in the world has given him the chance to pursue some new musical ideas.
As well as all this, conductor Jules Buckley joins Shaun to chat about his new 麻豆社 Sounds Podcast. The Grammy winning conductor has worked with everyone from Stormzy and created with infamous Radio 1 Ibiza Prom in 2015, in which Pete Tong, Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra transformed dance classics into orchestral masterpieces. He chats with Shaun about his new 4 part series of Radio 3鈥檚 Classical Fix podcast to tie in with the 麻豆社 Proms 2020, opening up classical music to a host of star-studded guests including musicians Nadine Shah, Afrodeutsche, Jehnny Beth, and Poppy Ajudha.
