Beethoveniana composed by Iain Farrington, inspired by Beethoven's nine symphonies, created with over 300 musicians from the 麻豆社 orchestras and singers in lockdown and two dancers in a bubble.
Joining Beethoven Unleashed, a year-long, 麻豆社-wide marathon marking the 250th anniversary of Beethoven鈥檚 birth, a 麻豆社 Grand Virtual Orchestra made up of over 300 麻豆社 musicians perform Beethoveniana by composer Iain Farrington, a brand new reworking of Beethoven鈥檚 nine symphonies commissioned by the 麻豆社 Proms to celebrate the opening of the 2020 Proms season.
Farrington describes his work as 'taking Beethoven's music and putting it in a musical washing machine to see which colours run'. Director Toby Amies brings the music to life in this film, premiering exclusively on 麻豆社 Four, Choreographed by Cameron McMillan, starring dancers Emma Farnell-Watson and Joshua Smith together in their own lockdown bubble.
