Debbie feels oppressed by her new and demanding baby and relentless weather.

She snipes with her supportive but ineffective partner, fails to connect with other women at the baby group and fields judgement from the professionals she meets. Online shopping tries to sell her a polished version of motherhood.

Eventually she makes plans to climb a mountain with her baby and they set off, well equipped, into his future.
