The churches and the lockdown legacy
Culling the churches - will a legacy of the lockdown be tough decisions across the denominations to reduce the number of churches?
Some church doors are open again for private prayer but will others remain closed for ever? Congregations have been in decline for decades yet it would seem most of the denominations have retained the majority of churches. Will this crisis be seen as an opportunity to make some of the closures permanent?
Presenter Audrey Carville in conversation with Father Brian D'Arcy, Presbyterian Minister, Reverend Doctor Norman Hamilton and the sociologist Dr Gladys Ganiel.
