Meditative improvisations, trance-like vocals, field recording works and soundscapes selected by the Chinese born sound artist Li Yilei. As the child of a Buddhist nun Yilei is familiar with the concepts of emptiness and impermanence which seeps into her own music. This playlist features tracks from her debut album Unabled Form alongside the sound of a purring tiger, a track from a notable compilation called Japanese Ambient, Environmental & New Age Music 1980-1990 and a piece by the revered Japanese sound artist Akio Suzuki.
