It's “Burns’ Season”, so Helen and the team have music, poetry and blether galore as well as news of a writing competition for fans of John Steinbeck.

As “Burns’ Season” continues, there’s plenty of crack with Helen Mark and the team. The children of Ballydown Primary, Banbridge bring their favourite bits of Rabbie Burns’ music and verse, Matthew Warrick has a yarn about haggis in the trenches of World War 1, an expert tells us of the fun (and near disasters) from organising Burns’ night celebrations for over two decades – and it’s not too late to join in - Rab Lennox has a round up of Burns’ Night events still to come. There’s also news of a writer’s competition for fans of John Steinbeck and we’ve chat with Mark Thompson as “Hame” returns to 鶹 TV.
The team loves to hear from listeners – you can email them at kintra@bbc.co.uk, and they’re always up for a bit of blether if you bump into them out and about, so say hello!
