Tim Burgess joins Cerys to discuss his book 'One ,Two Another - line by line lyrics from the Charlatans, solo and beyond' A collection of the very best lyrics by The Charlatans lead singer with added commentary and memoir. The book gives an insight into a very idiosyncratic and creative song-writing process.

Tim Burgess was born in Salford and grew up in Cheshire. He left school aged sixteen to work at ICI, shortly after this he joined The Charlatans - who have gone on to have 3 number 1 albums and 17 top 30 singles.

'From lists to experiences,there are no rules. A good song is a good song whoever writes it and however the writing happens. I only know what I do. In this here book I have collected some of the ideas and thoughts and words.' - Tim

Greg Foat is a pianist, composer and music producer from England. The Greg Foat group (Binker Golding,Phillip Achille,Eric Young,Malcolm Catto) join Cerys this week for a special live performance.

Greg Foat released his 12th album The Dreaming Jewels via Athens of The North last November (2019) He is influenced by the rich heritage of British jazz pianists and composers such as Gordon Beck, Stan Tracey, Michael Garrick, Keith Tippett and Graham Collier as well as European and American artists such as Ennio Morricone, Piero Piccioni, Michel Legrand, Vangelis and John Klemmer.
