For more than 8 years, Syria has been at war and the human cost has been staggering. Rouaa and Mustafa are both 8 and have known nothing but war and its disastrous consequences. For four years, Caroline Hawley followed them as they grow up, in exile, grappling with an uncertain future. Her film goes behind the statistics to try to understand the impact of war on two of the many children whose country has descended into catastrophic violence.
