NI councils spend more that 拢130k entering competitions - is it money well spent?
Councils across Northern Ireland have spent more than 拢130,000 of ratepayers' cash since 2017 cash entering themselves into awards competitions.
The spending included entering awards to recognise well-managed public parks, gongs to celebrate publicity and marketing, and the "Loo of the Year Awards".
The figures were obtained by an Irish News freedom of information request.
