Seasonal radio from the Kingdom of Mourne, words for the hazards of Christmas shopping and new poems from a Ballyclare man.

There's seasonal radio from the Ulster-Scots folk in the Kingdom of Mourne, words for the hazards of Christmas shopping and new poems from a Ballyclare man and a favourite song.

As Christmas draws close, the Ulster-Scots community in the Kingdom of Mourne take to the airwaves so Helen’s been to hear all about it. The Kintra team have a blether about appropriate words for the Christmas shopping crowd and the quality of ‘secret Santa’ gifts. Willie Hill meets a Ballyclare man who poetry reflects his interests in Ulster-Scots, his favourite places and American history and back by popular demand – another chance to hear the Christmas song from Culcrow Primary that brought a smile to everyone last year.
The Kintra team loves to hear from listeners – especially if there’s an Ulster-Scot yarn to share, banter to enjoy or an event to advertise. You can contact them anytime by email – Kintra@bbc.co.uk - but they’re always up for a bit of blether if you see them out and about.
