Social Enterprise and the Northern Ireland Economy
There's been massive growth in social enterprises here in Northern Ireland both in terms of numbers employed and turnover. This week Wendy speaks to local people in the sector.
In one way, social enterprises are like any other business - they make money from selling goods and services in an open market, but rather than making a profit for their owners or shareholders instead they reinvest those profits to create social change, improve communities and enhance people鈥檚 life chances.
