Owen Denvir, Saintfield's Smallest Bookshop, living with Parkinson's
John has music from songwriter Owen Denvir, and visits Saintfield's smallest bookshop - inside a red telephone box.
This week, John has live music from up and coming singer Owen Denvir, ahead of the release of his new single, ‘Ghosts’.
John will be speaking to the family of Oran Creaney, who was only six years old when he died of a heart complication. His grandfather, Francie McAlinden is a champion open water swimmer, and he is taking part in an event in Oran’s memory.
We’ll also be meeting Ronan Coyle, who at the age of 37, has young onset Parkinson’s. He’ll be telling us about the impact the condition has had upon him, and how he’s been able to stay active. He wants to educate people about Parkinson’s, and has organised a golf tournament to help raise awareness of the condition.
We take a trip to a bookshop with a difference – it’s inside a red telephone box, and we’ll also have a tasty dessert from Paula McIntyre.
