Call You and Yours - How easy is it to see your GP?
A survey of almost a thousand doctors has found the average wait for a routine GP appointment is now more than two weeks, for the first time ever - at 15 days.
On 'Call You and Yours' we're asking - "How easy is it to see your GP?"
According to a survey of nearly a thousand GPs for the medical magazine 'Pulse', the average wait for a routine GP appointment is longer than a fortnight - the longest wait since the poll began in 2016.
The Government say that's a tiny fraction of all GPs and point to NHS data showing the majority of people are seen within seven days of trying to book. They add that many patients are booked ahead as part of their continuing care needs.
