Organisations have been posing online as a trusted debt charity and misleading people who are seeking support. The charity, Step Change, has spotted 48 different adverts from companies impersonating it online since the start of this year alone. The charity believes these organisations are making money by selling people's cases on to companies who provide debt services.
House prices in some parts of the UK still haven't recovered from their peak before the financial crash. A new industry analysis reveals that in 45 local council areas, house prices are still lower now than they were in 2007. Most are in the North of England.
