Boris Johnson to become PM – but what does that mean for NI? Will the new PM make it more or less likely that we get a functioning executive up and running any time soon?
Boris Johnson to become PM – but what does that mean for NI? The next prime minister, Boris Johnson, goes to meet the Queen this afternoon. He has pledged to bring the United Kingdom together.
But recently he's also pledged to bring us out of the EU by 31st October come what may and to end what he called "unfair" prosecutions of British soldiers for Troubles related killings.
So will he be able to unite people here?
And will the new PM make it more or less likely that we get a functioning executive up and running any time soon?
Joining Stephen was former Tory MP - now leader of the Independent Group for Change - Anna Soubry, the Boris supporting Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen, Fine Gael Senator Neale Richmone - the Chair of the Irish Parliament's Brexit Committee and commentator Ruth Dudley Edwards.
Also on the programme, Wrightbus confirm cash flow problems, Are proposed restrictions on new drivers fair on young people? And heatwave or not – is it appropriate for the Nolan team to wear shorts at work?
