Brian Tatler from Diamond Head
Brian Tatler from Diamond Head names his ultimate Rock God plus Johnnie looks back on 'This Week In Rock' with the 麻豆社 Archives.
Diamond Head. They may never have played on Top of the Pops but this British heavy metal band's influence has some mighty history. Hailing from the Midlands, Diamond Head were part of the 'New Wave of British Heavy Metal' movement of the late 1970s in the UK. Their track 'Am I Evil?' became somewhat of an anthem for the genre. It also transfixed a fledgling drummer by the name of Lars Ulrich. Lars was so enamoured with the them, legend has it he followed them around as a young fan and took inspiration for the sound of his own band. Today, Lars is the drummer of one of the biggest metal giants on the planet; Metallica. Diamond Head are still going strong too and they have a new album out, 'The Coffin Train'. Find out who guitarist Brian picks as his ultimate Rock God. Plus, Johnnie will take a look at 'This Week In Rock' with the 麻豆社 Archives and play some of the best new releases alongside some of rock's biggest tracks from the past 50 years.
