Saxophonist Duncan Lamont, Scots of the Spanish Civil War

Janice talks to Duncan Lamont, a saxophonist from Greenock who has played with Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Paul McCartney and many more.

On Tuesday鈥檚 show Janice will be hearing about the 4 miners from Prestonpans who went to fight against Franco in the Spanish Civil war. This story has been brought to the stage and Janice will be chatting to the writer Robbie Gordon and Stuart Ramage from the band VanIves who composed music for 549: SCOTS OF THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR.

Duncan Lamont is a saxophonist from Greenock who has played with Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby and Paul McCartney to name just a few. He also wrote the music for the children鈥檚 TV series Mr Benn! Duncan is returning to his home town to play a one off gig and Janice chats to him about his incredible life!
