Day 1, Morning Session
Mark Williams begins the defence of the title as the climax to the snooker season gets underway. Hazel Irvine introduces live coverage from the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
Last year, at the age of 43, Mark Williams won his third world title, becoming the second oldest winner at the Crucible Theatre with a hard-fought victory over John Higgins. This morning, the Welshman begins the defence of the title as the climax to the snooker season gets underway. With nine frames to play on Saturday morning and a maximum of ten on Saturday night, can the reigning champion continue where he left off 12 months ago? Hazel Irvine introduces live coverage from the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
